Question: Do these collars have breakaway buckles on them? i.e. if pulled on too hard, the collar will split at the buckle
Answer: Well no, I don't think so.....I have never pulled on it real hard. I just push the black connector and it comes apart. I buy this kind all the time and I like them much better than the other kind. 

Question: What is the width of the size small?
Answer: 3/4 inch 

Question: How wide is the medium collar? I'm looking for 1 inch wide.
Answer: The medium is less than 1 inch. Even the large is just less than 1 inch.
